Who we are
My name is Erin, I am a Training and Development Specialist for a large corporation. I have been involved in program development and implementation for the last 7 years, including child, youth and adult populations. I live in Northern Ontario, loving all that it has to offer except the remnants of dial-up!
Hi! I'm Riea and I'm the provincial Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Training Manager for the Nova Scotia Government. My main focus over the last year has been assessment and peer to peer program development and to keep our jurisdiction in line with national standards. EMR is still relatively new in Canada so this is an exciting field. I'm originally from Vancouver, but moved to Halifax 4 years ago with my 2 teenage kids, including one that has just graduated high school this week! We're definitely enjoying the slower pace of life and hospitable people of the east coast.
I’m Aaron, and I’m currently living and teaching in a small, gritty factory town called Shiyan in the suburbs of Shenzhen, China (across the border from HK). Although I work for a BC school district, I’ve been stationed here since September teaching grade 5 English/ESL in the bilingual department of an enormous Chinese school of over 6,000 students. Before this, I taught math, science, art, English, SS and planning at a small BC offshore school in Shanghai for a couple years.
Hello! I'm Brendan, I'm currently working as a high school teacher in the isolated coastal town of Powell River, BC. After living in Vancouver over the past 10 years and working in the Burnaby school district for 4 years my wife and I decided to move back to our home town. My background is in geography and I'm hoping to eventually get to teach it.
Hi! I'm Laura and I currently live in beautiful Victoria, BC. I work for an online school teaching self-paced, continual entry math and science courses. My background is in environmental science and I hope to offer a locally developed online course in that subject area in the near future.
Hi, I'm Kuljinder, I worked as a Learner Support Team teacher in the Surrey School District in British Columbia. I have also taught a grade 2 and grade 4/5 class. I'm a fairly new teacher so I don't know what I will be teaching in September.
